When Gavilan College leaders put on hard hats and walked the floor of their future facility with the team from Flint Builders, they weren’t just inspecting construction progress — they were watching a vision take shape.
The site visit, captured and shared by Flint Builders on LinkedIn, offered a firsthand look at the new building rising on Gavilan’s campus. Inside walls still framed in steel and drywall, faculty, administrators, and construction partners moved through spaces that will soon become classrooms, labs, and career pathway hubs for students across the region.
For South Bay community college students — many of them first-generation, working adults, and career changers — a new facility means expanded access to hands-on instruction in the programs that lead to real jobs. Gavilan College has long served as a critical workforce development hub for Santa Clara and San Benito counties, and investments in physical infrastructure signal a long-term institutional commitment to that mission.
“Exciting times ahead,” Flint Builders noted in sharing the tour — and for students who will one day walk through those doors, that’s exactly right.
