SF-Peninsula Career Education Convening
In April 2026, the subregion brought together Career Education faculty, staff, and students from across the four colleges for a full day of learning, collaboration and dialogue. Held at Skyline College, the event featured a keynote address on AI and the Future of Work, a presentation on the subregion’s labor market, and panels of students and local employers. The next SF-Peninsula Career Education Convening is tentatively scheduled for February 2028.
Subregional Internship Pathways
This project expands paid work-based learning opportunities for Career Education students at colleges in San Francisco and San Mateo Counties, while helping employers strengthen supervision and training capacity. Students will have access to project-based learning opportunities in Architecture and the Built Environment, IT/Cybersecurity, and Business/ Entrepreneurship. A learning-focused model aligns employer training capacity with student motivation, improving internship quality and pathways to employment.
