Isadora Vasconcelos de Lima had already built an impressive and specialized academic foundation in the world of media. Holding a BA in Social Communication and Journalism from UFRN in Brazil, as well as a Master’s degree in Strategic Communication and Public Relations from Trinity Washington University in Washington, DC, she understood how to connect with people. But in 2023, she made the bold decision to pivot her career entirely and dive into the rapidly evolving world of technology.
Starting fresh, Isadora began studying Computer Science at San Jose City College and West Valley College. While classroom theory laid the groundwork, she knew she needed hands-on experience to truly break into the industry. This led her to join the College to Career Pathways (CC Pathways) Backend Program.
The apprenticeship program served as the vital bridge between her academic coursework and practical industry demands. Through CC Pathways, Isadora gained a deep, working understanding of the tech world. Rather than just studying concepts, she was put to work on cutting-edge projects involving Generative AI, building RESTful APIs, and utilizing FastAPI. By combining her high-level communication background with hard technical skills, Isadora has successfully transformed her career trajectory and positioned herself at the forefront of AI and software development.
