There was a historical and chronic shortage of nurse educators/faculty. Surveys of community college human resources showed that nurse educators were the most difficult to recruit. With the impact of COVID-19, registered nurses (RNs) were reevaluating their careers and looking to leave the hospital/clinical setting.
