K-12 SWP Overview & Regional Plan

The K-12 Strong Workforce Program has three components:

  • Allocates $150M per year to a competitive grants program for which local educational agencies serving grades 7-12 are eligible to apply. Grants are used to create, support, and/or expand high-quality career technical education programs.
  • Funds K-12 Workforce Pathway Coordinators, one per community college district, hosted at LEAs, and one K-14 Regional Technical Assistance Provider to be hosted at a college.
  • Integrates K-12 LEAs into the planning process used by the Regional Consortia to produce and annually update a regional workforce development plan that guides the investments of Strong Workforce Program funds.

  2. Update proposal to accommodate reductions in funding

    1. Adjust objectives, workplan, outcomes

    2. Reduce budget and match

    3. Complete budget narrative

    4. Confirm indirect

    5. Submit change form

    6. Email BACCC when plan is complete

  3. BACCC reviews plan and contracts with Grantee

    1. BACCC reviews revisions and verifies match and indirect

    2. BACCC provides contract for Grantee to sign

    3. Grantee returns signed contract

    4. BACCC provides completed contract, blanket purchase order, and advance payment
