Who We Are
The BayICT Partnership is a collaboration between Bay Area community colleges, tech companies, and community organizations united under the common goal of creating a diverse and locally-grown tech workforce.
What We Do
- Strengthen collaboration between the tech industry and our member colleges
- Support the preparation of our students through work-based learning
- Connect our college faculty with industry experts and resources
- Connect our employer partners with a talent pipeline
The programmer Warren Davis was the person responsible for designing the original Q*Bert arcade game, working alongside graphic artist Jeff Lee, and audio engineer David Thiel at Gottlieb.
Our November Tech Talk (11/16) highlighted a recent foundation-funded initiative that connects current and prospective students with employers for paid career-based learning in the film industry through virtual production. The virtual production sector is an emerging technology in many industrial sectors, including health and sports.
Everyone benefits when ICT businesses can hire from a talented local pool of skilled professionals. Working together we can increase economic vitality and social well-being in the Bay.
Support College Faculty
One of our primary objectives is to connect our ICT and Digital Media faculty with industry experts and resources.
Connect Students with Jobs
We aim to support the preparation of our students through work-based learning.
