BACCC is committed to supporting regional career education program development that  addresses local workforce needs and prepares students for living wage employment opportunities. We facilitate collaborations and partnerships and provide data, resources and tools for colleges and partners to make informed investment decisions. 

Programs FAQ

An educational program is defined in Title 5, section 55000(g), as “an organized sequence of courses leading to a defined objective, a degree, a certificate, a diploma, a license, or transfer to another institution of higher education.”

If it is in a CTE program area AND..

  • The number of semester units a student must complete to receive a program certificate or degree is 16 units or more (or 24 quarter units), OR
  • The certificate is from 8 to 15.5 semester units AND it will appear on a student’s transcript*

*Chancellor’s Office approved Certificates of Achievement are the only credit certificates that may appear by name on a student transcript, diploma, or completion award.

Modifications do not require regional recommendation. Refer to this link or the PCAH for Chancellor’s Office requirements.

Go to regionalcte.org

  1. Login to your account (or create one if you haven’t already)
  2. Go to your Dashboard
  3. Click the “New Submission” button
  4. Fill out the form and click ‘Continue’ or Save it to complete it at a later time*
  5. Once your program is ready to be reviewed**, click ‘Submit’
  6. You will receive an email with a link to your program submission.

 

*Attached files will not be saved if you choose to save your submission as a draft.

**Please be sure to only submit a program when it is ready for review, this includes having the correct attachments.

You’ll be asked to provide:

  • Occupational title(s) students completing this program would be qualified to perform
  • TOP code and program title 
  • Visit https://www.onetonline.org to access SOC codes
