We’ll be exploring Cybersecurity For October’s Tech Talk
45-minute presentation followed by a 15-minute Q&A session
Sean Duval is Senior Director of sales Engineering at Armis, a provider of an asset intelligence platform designed to address the new threat landscape that connected devices create. He leads large-scale projects across Enterprise, State, Local, Education, and Federal business segments while balancing tactical and strategic business and technical requirements. Prior to joining Armis, Sean was an Executive Security Architect at IBM, serving as a technical expert on current and emerging security technologies and architecture.

Armis is a NextGen Cyber Talent training partner and Sean, bringing his advocacy for preparing a diverse cyber workforce, represents the partnership and its support of community college cybersecurity education programs. Collaborating with Bay Area cybersecurity faculty and clubs, Sean is making himself available this academic year to teach a one-day, hands-on workshop to build foundational knowledge on the vast amount of Internet of Things (IoT) devices deployed today and what it takes to secure the constellation of network-connected devices inside of an organization. For the Cybersecurity Awareness Month Tech Talk, Sean will describe the IoT security landscape and introduce the workshop.
