On Friday, April 19, aiEDU was one of five founding organizations to launch and lead the first-ever National AI Literacy Day. The day of action was a bigger success than we could have hoped for, with a national coalition of nonprofits, schools, government leaders, and companies hosting 60+ events across the country in states including Ohio, Michigan, Colorado, Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, and California. The challenge: engage in answering the question: “What is AI?”
Thank you to all of the people and organizations that helped us use this moment to help teachers and students begin or continue their learning journeys. And a special thanks to our fellow Steering Committee partners for the tremendous amount of work to make this all possible: InnovateEDU, The Tech Interactive, Common Sense Media, and AI for Education.
